Three women’s IPL teams will be proposed during the council meeting

A three-team Indian Premier League will be proposed at the board meeting on Sunday. The competition will be held in the UAE. This year’s men’s IPL competition will be held at the same venue. The date of the competition will be discussed soon.

In a conversation with IANS, people familiar with the matter said that during the GC period, a proposal for the establishment of three IPLs composed of women will be proposed.

“Yes, we are studying this issue and will propose three women’s IPL at the board meeting. In the IPL knockout stage, we have always had women’s T20 matches, and we will check the time in a similar window as well.”

Due to the increase in coronavirus cases in India, the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League was earlier transferred to the UAE, and the Indian Cricket Control Committee (BCCI) is now planning to participate in a short women’s tournament.

For two years, BCCI has been organizing women’s T20 competitions (the more famous Challenger series) during the men’s IPL, and this may also be the case.

Currently, the men’s IPL competition will start on September 19.

Earlier, it was reported that in the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the women’s football trip to England was cancelled. England is now planning to host the South African women’s football team in the bilateral series, which was previously scheduled for the Tri-Nation Championship.

Therefore, like the men’s team, the female cricket players have not had enough game skills for some time now, and BCCI will have to make sure to prepare well before preparing for the upcoming UAE game.
