Magnitude 4.6 earthquake strikes Jammu and Kashmir; second inside 15 hours

Jammu: An earthquake with a magnitude 4.6 hit Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday (June 30, 2020) at round 11:32 PM, in line with the National Centre for Seismology.

It was reportedly 103 km east of Katra and is the second earthquake in the identical area inside a span of 15 hours. 

The epicentre was positioned 5-km deep throughout the floor.

Earlier on Tuesday at round 8:56 AM, an earthquake measuring 4.zero on the Richter Scale hit 84 km east of Katra area.

No harm or any casualty was reported on the time of submitting the copy.

In Jammu and Kashmir, over 5 low-intensity tremors had been witnessed within the month of June thus far.

Earlier on June 16, two delicate earthquakes jolted the Union Territory in a single day.
