British Grand Prix: Max Verstappen ranked first

Max Verstappen of the Red Bull Racing Team won the first free practice championship at the 2020 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Nico Hulkenberg returned to Formula One Won the ninth place.

It was confirmed just a few hours before the start of FP1 that Hulkenberg announced that it would replace Perez. When the race started, the German was one of the first drivers to leave the garage and finished ninth with the fastest speed when returning.

Verstappen put on soft tires to show the blistering speed for Red Bull. It was 0.474 seconds faster than Lewis Lewis Hamilton and one-tenth faster than Racing Point’s third-place Lance Stroll, with 90 minutes and 30 minutes left. Verstappen’s 1:27.422s is a full seven-tenths faster than his teammates, and Alex Albon is fourth.

Ferrari’s fight continued, with Charles Leclerc (Charles Leclerc) ranked fifth with a score of 1:28.221. At the same time, Vettel was forced to withdraw from the meeting due to technical problems. The four-time champion-who will leave the team at the end of the season-did venture into the track in the first few minutes of the race, but he failed to set a time to return to the circuit and will never appear on the circuit again.

Ferrari said: “We have found a problem with the intercooler system in the (Vettel) car, so we have to strip the car and inspect it in preparation for the FP2.”
