On Monday (September 14) the star-studded list of the upcoming 2020 Indian Premier League review panel was announced. It should be noted that IPL 2020 is scheduled to start in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on September 19. The comment panel for the cash-rich tournament this season includes the names of Sunil Gavaskar, Ian Bishop, Harsha Bhogle and several other famous cricketers, but the notable omission from the list is the former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar.
IPL 2020 broadcaster Star Sports has designated a separate panel for Hindi and other languages, but Manjrekar’s name is missing from each list.
Kris Srikkanth and MSK Prasad, former chief selectors of the Indian national team, will comment in Tamil and Telugu respectively. Sanjay Bangar belongs to the list of Hindi commentaries.
